Information
på svenska
The different master's programmes in Biology are part of our research
departments; the Department of Ecology, the Department of Cell and
Organism Biology, and the Division of Marine Biology. The majority of
our teachers are active researchers.
The master programmes are of
120 ECTS, two years. A master’s degree project of 30-60 ECTS credits is
performed during the last year. About 30 courses are offered at the
master’s level. Most of them are given in English.
A Bachelor’s degree including courses of 90 ECTS credits in Cell
biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Floristics,
Faunistics, and Ecology. Some specialisations also require Chemistry.
Non-Nordic
students that do not have English as their mother-tongue need an
internationally acknowledged English test, such as TOEFL (at least
550/213), IELTS (at least 6.0) or Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency.
If
you have a degree from a university with English as the official
language, this may also suffice. Please refer to the application form
and the instruction sheet for details.
